| Masterdor is a door-set that comprises a pre-finished,
engineered timber door leaf and frame,
complete with hardware and glazing, which is supplied as a ready-to-install
unit. Independent tests have shown
it to provide the solution to the problems encountered by most
residential doors. Thanks to its revolutionary design, the door-set
is weather
resistant and forms an effective barrier against intruders.
Masterdor is easy
to maintain and repair
and is made
to measure in a wide range of styles and colours |

The stability of Masterdor is derived from
an engineered timber door leaf, made from radially peeled
timber. This process ensures that any movement is in the
plane of the door leaf, minimising distortion. Masterdor
will not stick or bind, regardless of the climatic conditions.
All of the timber used in Masterdor comes from sustainable,
managed stocks.
Decorative mouldings are routed into the surface of
the door leaf, providing the appearance of a traditional
door without compromising stability or strength. What
appears to be a door panel is in fact an integral part
of the 44mm thick door blade. Hardwood edge lippings
are bonded to the perimeter of the door leaf. The double
rebate ensures excellent weather tightness. In addition,
the double rebate also provides enhanced protection
for the locks and strikers, greatly improving security. |

Masterdor,
which was first produced in 1993, is always installed
by a trained installer. There
are in excess of 250,000 Masterdors in current use, virtually
all of which are in local authority and housing association
stock. |
