Quality Policy Statement

At Manse Masterdor Limited, we recognise that our success depends on satisfying our customers.

Customer satisfaction depends on the quality of the services we provide, so conformance to recognised standards and customer requirements are of prime importance.

Our success also depends on profitability, which is the ultimate measure of how efficiently we meet our customers' needs. Continuous Improvement of our processes, services and the performance of our human resources are vital to our competitiveness and profitability.

The responsible applications to total quality management, and conformance to the standards and procedures covered in our quality manual, are the basis of our operation. Our policy requires every employee to contribute to the philosophy of total customer satisfaction by Continuous Improvement in process control, failure prevention and skill development.

Our primary quality objective is to achieve a high quality product, right first time and on time, thereby maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. A comprehensive staff training and assessment plan, dedicated to the production staff of Manse, help to achieve this. More than 50% of our standard production is dedicated to customers with whom we have entered into partnering agreements or long-term contracts with performance measures.

Statement of Safety Policy

The Directors of Manse Masterdor Limited acknowledge that in matters of health and safety at work they have a management responsibility equal to that of any other functions and give full backing to this policy, including the provision of resources both financial and otherwise, and will support all those who endeavour to carry it out.

It is company Policy to take all reasonable measures to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees in order to fulfil our legal and economical responsibilities.

These measures are also aimed at protecting others who may be affected by our day-to-day work activities.

It is the function of all management to provide the right conditions under which work may be carried out safely and where practicable, provide safety equipment.

In the design, construction, operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and facilities, the company will do everything possible to prevent personal injury.

Employees at all levels need to be aware that they have a legal duty not only to work in a safe manner but also to co-operate in efforts made to create safe working conditions for themselves and others.

The above represents the general principles of Manse Masterdor Limited Safety Policy, which may be revised from time to time as may be necessary and appropriate to reflect changes in legislation and work practices with a full review and update at least annually in February of each year conducted by the Health and Safety Officer.

Harassment Policy

All employees have the right to be treated with dignity and respect by their colleagues and the company is committed to providing a working environment free of any harassment or intimidation.

All employees are therefore made aware that:

  1. Harassment can be any conduct related to age, race, colour, creed, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, marital status or any other personal characteristic which is unwanted by the recipient or affects the dignity of any individual or group of individuals at work. Sexual or racial harassment may be unlawful.
  2. Harassment is damaging to the individual and to the company and will not be tolerated. It will be treated as a disciplinary offence and may in serious cases lead to dismissal as gross misconduct.
  3. All employees have a personal responsibility for applying the company's policy and for behaving in a considerate and respectful way to each other.
  4. Managers and those employees responsible for supervising others have the additional responsibility for informing their staff about this policy and taking steps to eliminate any harassment of which they are aware.
  5. Any employees who believe that they are being harassed may raise the matter through their manager or supervisor, or directly with the Associate Director (Administration and Personnel). Those wishing to make a formal complaint should do so through the Grievance Procedure.
  6. Any employee who considers that they are, or have been, harassed by members of the public, or by clients, during the performance of their duties should report the matter as in 5 above for appropriate action.
  7. The Associate Director (Administration and Personnel) is responsible for monitoring, reviewing and co-ordinating this Harassment Policy. Any employee who has doubts or concerns about its application should consult their manager.
  8. The company will investigate any complaint of harassment seriously, promptly and confidentially.

Employee Welfare Policy Statement

The company values your contribution to its current and future success, and recognises that its employees are its most valuable resource. We believe that people give their best and achieve the greatest results when they are able to work happily together, free from un-necessary concerns and in a supportive culture. We intend to ensure your continued physical, mental and social well-being by operating a consistent, fair and effective welfare policy. In order to achieve this the company will aim to ensure that all points listed below are fully implemented, and asks that all employees also contribute towards ensuring the policy is a success.

  1. The company fully embraces its statutory duty to ensure the welfare of its employees, both physical and mental, so far as it is reasonably practicable.
  2. All employee medical data is considered as sensitive and handled in confidence on a strict 'need to know' basis. The only standard type of health data that the company retains on its general personnel records are as follows: details of the number of days absent attributable to sickness, maternity or industrial injury, and any further details that may be required to comply with disability legislation.
  3. The company operates a policy of zero tolerance towards any form of physical or mental violence between co-workers. This includes abuse, intimidation, obscene gestures and bullying.
  4. We encourage all staff to maximise their fitness, avoid common health risks and get back to work as quickly as possible after any period of sickness absence.
  5. You should wear any protective clothing supplied in connection with your job during all times that you are subject to the risks for which it was provided.
  6. The needs of the disabled (or the temporarily injured) to carry out their duties effectively will be considered, appropriate adjustments will be made for them and the effectiveness of those adjustments will be regularly reviewed.
  7. The aims and objectives of the company's Environmental Policy as they affect employees will be followed.

Environmental Policy Statement

The Directors and staff of Manse Masterdor Ltd. are committed to the protection of the environment within all levels of the Company's operations. It is understood that all aspects of a business from office through design, purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, installation and disposal of waste have an effect upon the environment and this Environmental Policy Statement reflects the Company's concerns and recognition of this fact.

Therefore, to actively promote its environmental commitment both locally and globally, the Company will:

  1. set environmental objectives and targets for Environmental Performance improvement in a formal Environmental Management Programme and communicate this to all staff;
  2. strive to adopt the highest available environmental standards in all locations of operation;
  3. ensure that the organisation meets or exceeds the minimum legal requirements of all relevant and prevailing UK Environmental Law;
  4. endeavour to comply with all other requirements to which it subscribes, such as codes of practice, relating to its environmental aspects;minimise, wherever possible, the use of all materials, supplies and energy and seek to use renewable, recyclable and environmentally friendly raw materials and components
  5. endeavour to source timber products from managed sustainable forests
  6. endeavour at all times to reduce waste and pollution to a minimum while avoiding the use of terminal waste treatment, dealing with it as far as possible at source
  7. re-use and collect for recycling, office materials such as paper and printer cartridges wherever possible;
  8. segregate other operating waste, collecting it for re-claim and recycling wherever possible, rendering it harmless and always disposing of it safely
  9. expect and require high environmental standards from all parties involved in the business including suppliers, contractors and vendors
  10. openly demonstrate commitment to improving relations with local schools and the local community;
  11. adopt an environmentally sound transport strategy, considering, in particular, the need for Company cars and methods of delivery of goods
  12. allocate sufficient financial and other resources to maintain good Environmental Performance

All personnel will be given training and guidance in environmental policy and 'best practice' as appertaining to the business and new starters will receive such instruction during their induction to the Company.

Implementation of the Policy is achieved through regular review of the Environmental Management System and the related Quality Management System; adherence to the processes and practices of the integrated system; and, the use of Continual Improvement and formal Corrective and Preventive Action.

Ethical Policy Statement

Manse Masterdor Limited will always aim to work in the most efficient and ethically correct way we can within our industry, as we believe that the environment and social justice are important to the way that we do business.

We actively demonstrate care for the environment through, whenever possible:

  • Recycling our waste and using products that are Forests Forever registered.
  • Using reclaimed and recycled materials.
  • Using and promoting public transport.

We support Fair Trade Practices by:

  • Buying products that do not exploit those that manufactured them.

We operate non-exploitative employment practices and challenge all forms of discrimination by:

  • Employing staff bridging the age gap from 16-70 years of age
  • Not discriminating in any way and not working with companies that do
  • Employing people not on the basis of their sex, creed, race or beliefs, but on the basis of their suitability for the position required.

We will also exercise corporate social responsibility through:

  • Effective implementation of our Environmental Policy so that our operations do not adversely affect others.
  • Active involvement in the community where our operations are based through participation and sponsorship of others.
  • Looking for opportunities to support community initiatives in communities where we operate temporarily.
